About us

how2nextgen is an independent publication about next-generation technology: game consoles and handhelds, the hardware inside them, and the artificial intelligence tools that are changing how we work and play.

What we publish

Every day we publish at least one story. Some are news, where we explain what happened and why it matters. Others are guides and explainers that stay useful for years, such as how cloud gaming works or what an NPU does in a laptop.

How we work

Our stories are produced by an editorial process that combines AI assistance with strict rules: every claim has to be supported by at least two reliable sources, we link to those sources at the end of each story, and we clearly separate confirmed facts from reports and rumors. The interface

The site can look like three different console menus. Pick PS5, Xbox or Switch in the top bar, and use the arrow keys, Enter and Esc, or a connected game controller, to move around. The styles are our own design, inspired by the look of those menus, and they are not affiliated with any console maker.
